Love your neighbour as yourself
Matthew 22 v39
Marwood School was built in 1853 when Reverend George Marwood bequeathed the land to provide a Church of England school in the village of Great Ayton.
As a Church school the distinctive Christian ethos is central to the life of the school
and we have close links with Christ Church in the village.
Representatives from the Church lead worship in school regularly on a Friday. We also attend church every half term for worship and hold special services in Christ Church throughout the year for Harvest, Christmas, Easter, Ascension Day and Leavers Service.

The Marwood School Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you for Marwood School and everybody in it.
Please help us to work hard and play happily together.
God bless our school.
Amen
Church Annual Report - School Section
Trinity Group
The Trinity Group consists of 6 children - 2 from each year group - led by Vicky Bradley, our Chair of Governors. They hold meetings, take minutes and look for ways in which to develop our Christian Values within school.
Last year they were instrumental in leading the school community on awareness of Fairtrade, including leading a worship at All Saint's Church. They are currently looking at how we can look wider than our own community, with a focus on Climate change and raising funds for Water Aid.
Christ Church Sunday School
Sunday School meets on Sundays in term time at 9.15am - except for the second Sunday of the month. The children enjoy a special service and lesson, then have craft time which they show to the congregation at the end of the service.
For more information contact Andrew Prunty 07811724376
Little Fishes Carer and Toddler Group
Meet on Tuesdays in term time at 9.45am in Church for a short service and story, followed by coffee and play in the Coffee Lounge.
Thank you so much for your generosity, we have filled three (big) vans of supplies for displaced people of the Ukraine, the initial hope was that one van would be filled so thank you, everyone.
